DiabetesTech Hub (NewsTargeted) processes personal data when you use the site, create an account, use Nightscout hosting, or contact us. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights.

Account details (email, username, Discord ID when using Discord sign-in, password in hashed form)
Profile and language preferences, settings, and activity logs linked to your account
Nightscout instance data (subdomain, configuration, operational and subscription status)
Messages sent via the contact form or support channels
Technical data (IP address, browser, device, timestamps, security logs)
Payment-related status from PayPal (not full card numbers; handled by PayPal)

Data location

Personal data and service data we store and process (including accounts, Nightscout instances, uploads, and backups) is kept in the EU/EEA, on servers in Germany. We do not routinely transfer such data outside the EU/EEA. Payment via PayPal and optional Discord sign-in may involve limited processing by those providers under their privacy policies.

Security and storage

We use technical and organizational measures such as access controls, encryption where appropriate, secure password hashing, and limited admin access. No method is 100% secure; you should also protect your account credentials.

Retention

We keep data as long as needed for the purposes above, for an active account or Nightscout instance, or as required by law. When you delete an account or instance, data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable time, except where we must retain it for legal reasons.

Your rights

Under GDPR and applicable privacy law you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to processing. You may also complain to your supervisory authority. To exercise rights, use the contact form.
